Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) - Judiciary Chief of Iran, Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, had made a proposal to grant clemency to a number of convicts on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khemenei has agreed with the proposal on Sunday to pardon or discount sentences of 1049 convicts of General and Revolutionary courts and also those of Judiciary Organization of the Armed Forces and State Discretionary Punishment Organization.
